Kelvin Kalonga is the National Director of Habitat for Humanity Malawi. He is a holder of Masters in Development Studies (UKZN University, RSA) and is in the process of completing an MBA (Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands and Eastern & Southern Africa Management Institute).

Prior to joining Habitat in 2012, he gained management and leadership experience in various non-profit organizations including Evangelical Association of Malawi, Save Orphans Ministries and Ministry of Hope, where he respectively occupied roles such as Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, Programs Manager and Programs Director.On joining Habitat Malawi, he initially worked as Resource Development & Communications Specialist then moved into the position of Operations Manager.  Based on his varied work experience and qualifications, he is well versed in development issues including land and housing. He has sound program and project management capability, and has been exposed to different aspects of non-profit management, including leadership and strategic management.


JOHN WISEMAN CHIROMO-FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

John Wiseman Chiromo is seasoned, versatile and accomplished Development Finance Specialist and Chartered Accountant. He holds a Masters of Commerce Degree in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town (RSA), and a Fellow of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)-UK.

He has more than 16 years working experience in the following sectors and industries: financial services, insurance, real estates and property development, development finance, project finance, public finance, microfinance, regulation, community and rural development.My areas of technical knowledge and analytical competence include:Corporate Governance, Budgeting and Financial Planning, Complex Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Management Accounting; Accounting Services, Financial Analysis, Grants Management, Contract Management, Operations Management & Donor Compliance, Coordination of External and Internal Audits, Compliance and Risk Management, Fund Management, Financial Control, Partnership Management, Treasury and Investment Management, Training and Coaching.The past 8 years, he has been working for a development finance institution focusing on serving the vulnerable and marginalized sections of the society by providing them with financing, knowledge, essential skills, competencies and opportunities to engage in micro, small and medium enterprises.He joined Habitat For Humanity International at the Malawi National office in  August 2018, as Finance and Administration Manager.


LUCY MWASE-PROGRAMMES MANAGER

A Public Health professional with over 15 years of work experience in: designing; implementation; monitoring and evaluating programs and projects; resource mobilisation; grants management; proposal development; partnership development and review; donor relations and engagement. I have proven ability to manage large-scale interventions including; managing programmes and budgets; leading advocacy efforts; Liaising and networking with other stakeholders; supporting the development of policies, strategic plans and papers. I also have strong facilitation, coordination, analytical, presentation, team working and interpersonal skills.

I have a Master’s Degree in Public Health International from the University of Leeds, a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health LUCY MWASE (Mrs)and a Diploma in Public Health, both of which from the University of Malawi.
I am a passionate, friendly, humble and enthusiastic woman who likes to face challenges in life and always willing to learn.
I have the empathy for the less privileged and I desire to see them thrive in life and be what they aspire to be.


FRANCIS SANDE-CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST

Francis Sande is a well versed Engineer with over 7 years of experience in working on development projects, designing/ planning structural, Water, Sanitation and transportation work and managing community and public projects in cities and rural areas.
Over the past 7 years, he has been involved in technical design of projects, leading construction teams during implementation of work, producing technical guidelines or procedures for organizations/ companies and designing sanitation related innovations.

He is very conversant in working with both communities and private sector.He holds a Bachelors Degree of Civil Engineering from the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic and is a trained Project Manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has previously worked for Centre for Community Organization and Development (CCODE) who focus on urban community development initiatives. He has also worked for SRK Consulting Engineers and BUA Consulting Engineers which are firms that oversee transportation and water projects.
Francis Sande’s career goal is to ensure that cities and rural areas in Malawi have safe, environmentally-friendly and resilient infrastructure which is easy to manage and maintain.
